Kevin Mitnick has spent 15 years in Milwaukee courtrooms fighting for clients who needed someone who understood exactly how the system operates from the inside. Before founding Mitnick & Draper, he served five years as a public defender in Milwaukee County — one of the highest volume criminal courts in Wisconsin — where he handled over 400 cases ranging from misdemeanor charges to Class A felonies.

His practice focuses on criminal defense including felony charges, weapons offenses, domestic violence, and white collar crime. Known for meticulous pre-trial preparation and an aggressive approach to evidence suppression, Mitnick has successfully argued for dismissal or charge reduction in over 90% of his cases before they reach a jury.

Outside the courtroom he has lectured at Marquette Law School on criminal procedure and served as a mentor in the Milwaukee Bar Association's young lawyer program. Clients consistently describe him as direct, available, and genuinely invested in their outcome — not just their case.

University of Wisconsin Law School, J.D., honors — Dean's Award for Excellence in Litigation
Board certified, National Board of Trial Advocacy — Criminal Trial Advocacy
WACDL Outstanding Defense Award (2021), certified mediator

John Draper built his reputation in Milwaukee's courtrooms doing the work most attorneys avoid — standing beside clients at their lowest moments and finding a path forward when the odds looked impossible. With 12 years of experience spanning criminal defense, OWI/DUI cases, drug offense litigation, and family law, Draper brings rare versatility to the firm's practice.

He completed a judicial clerkship in Milwaukee County Circuit Court before entering private practice — an experience that gave him an insider's understanding of how judges evaluate evidence, credibility, and legal arguments.

Draper's OWI defense record is particularly strong — he has successfully challenged breathalyzer results, field sobriety test procedures, and traffic stop legality in over 150 cases, resulting in dismissals or significant charge reductions in the majority. Clients call him methodical, calm under pressure, and relentlessly prepared.
