Kevin Mitnick
Kevin Mitnick has spent 15 years in Milwaukee courtrooms fighting for clients who needed someone who understood exactly how the system operates from the inside. Before founding Mitnick & Draper, he served five years as a public defender in Milwaukee County — one of the highest volume criminal courts in Wisconsin — where he handled over 400 cases ranging from misdemeanor charges to Class A felonies.
His practice focuses on criminal defense including felony charges, weapons offenses, domestic violence, and white collar crime. Known for meticulous pre-trial preparation and an aggressive approach to evidence suppression, Mitnick has successfully argued for dismissal or charge reduction in over 90% of his cases before they reach a jury.
Outside the courtroom he has lectured at Marquette Law School on criminal procedure and served as a mentor in the Milwaukee Bar Association's young lawyer program. Clients consistently describe him as direct, available, and genuinely invested in their outcome — not just their case.
